Technica Parameters of Road Signs
1.General Basic Structure Parameters
Sign Dimensions: Circular signs typically have typically have dimeters of 600mm, 800mm(small size),and 1000mm(large size).Common rectangular sign sizes include 1200×600mm, 1500×700mm, and 2000×1000mm, selected based on road classifications (highways, municipal roads, rural roads).
Panel Thickness: Aluminum alloy panels are 2mm thick for regular road sectinons and 3mm thick for highways or windy sections. The bending strength is ≥100MPa to ensure no deformation during long-term use.
Support Structure: Single-column poles have a dimeter of 60-114mm (wall thickness 3-4.5mm), while double-column poles have a dimeter of 114-140 mm. Cantilever crossarms range from 1.5m to 6m in length, matched to the sign size and road width. The bottom of each pole is fixed with a flange (size ≥200×200×16mm).
2.Core Material & Process Parameters
Panel Material:5052-H32 aluminum alloy sheets are usde, with a tensile strength of ≧215MPa and an elongation of ≧10%. They offer excellent weather resistance, making them suitable for long-term outdoor use.
Reflective Film Grades: Classified into 4 grades:
1. Engineering Grade (Class Ⅳ): Retroreflective coefficient ≥25cd/(lx·㎡),suitable for rural roads and residential area roads.
2. Super Engineering Grade (Class Ⅲ): Retroreflectibe coefficient ≥40cd/(lx·㎡), applicable to municipal roads.
3.High-Intensity Grade (Class Ⅱ): Retroreflective coefficient ≥80cd/(lx·㎡), designed for highways and expressways.
4. Extra-High Intensity Grade (Class Ⅰ): Retroreflectibe coefficient ≥150cd/(lx·㎡), intended for tunnel entrances/exits and road sections with heavy nighttime traffic.
Printing Process: Screen printing uses sun-resistant ink with a color fastness of ≥Grade 7. Digital printing adopts UV-curable ink with a weather resistance of ≥5 years. For both processes, the clarity of patterns and text is ≥300dpi, with no jagged edges.
3. Protection & Installation parameters
Anti-Corrosion Treatment:Poles and flanges undergo hot-dip galvanization (zinc coatinh thickness ≥85μm, salt spray test reistance ≥5000 hours) or galbanization + powder coating (powder coating thickness ≥120μm, weather resistance ≥10 years), suitable for corrosive environmensts like coastal areas and industrial zones.
Installation Precision: The verticality deviation of the sign panel is ≤1°, and the flatness deviation is ≤3mm/m. The verticality deviation of the pole is ≤1mm/m to ensure no deviation in the driver's line of sight.
Wind Resistance Rating : The ovrall wind resistance is ≥Grade 12 for highway sections and ≥Grade 10 for municipal road sections. Wind load calculations (wind pressure ≥0.6kN/㎡) are conducted to prevent sign deformation or falling off due to strong winds.
4.Supplementary Parameters for Spe cial Types
Luminous Signs: In addition to reflectibve film, luminous paint is added, with a light storage time of ≥30 minutes and a luminous brightness of ≥100mcd/㎡. They are suitable for rural roads without streetlights and tunnel interiors.
Electronic Signs: For LED display types, the pixel pitch is ≤3mm(hign definition), and the brightness is ≥600cd/㎡(ensuring visibility during the day). The protection level is IP65, designed for road sections requiring dynamic information updates (such as construction prompts and traffic condition announcements).
